Ankle Boots

While numerous high heel were invented in the 1800's through 1980's and appear in 2009 with a twist as I recently stated. However, on this particular blog I want to take a closer look at the Pants Boots which was re-invented and know known as the ankle boots. The first twist to this shoe is the name of course. I have once stated that the name just changes and the boot looks identical, but not with this particular boot. One other change is that the boot had a little buckle, while now it has a slight button. The second change is that one side seems to be higher than the other while today's current boot has either a crinkle or a fold on the back. Depending on the boot some heels may be higher or even smaller than the boot back in the day. As I was researching these boots I wanted to know why does this style never go out of style? Is it right for use to think we have a new trend when really our great grandparents wore the same thing?

  1. I find this to be very intersting,as you stated the style of the boot changes just a bit while the name that people know the heel by changes alot. For instance my mother wore alot of the same style boots that I wear today but if I were to ask her about a certain boot which I have done of several occasions without seeing a picture of the shoe or boot itself she always says the same thing "I think I wore those when I was younger but i have to see the shoe" This to me is a perfect example of how the styles ad trend chnage a bit but in a way stay the same generation after generation.
